The Looe Lugger Regatta is a bi-annual event.
These magnificent sailing craft are a spectacular sight on the water.
Luggers (not just Cornish) come from all over the UK and even some from France including a couple of three-masted luggers called the Carontin and the La Cancalaise. Boats usually arrive on the Friday and will be sailing in Looe Bay on Saturday.
During the festival, do pop into Looe and come and see these magnificent boats. Each year there are approximately 40 luggers moored up in Looe Harbour and Looe Bay – it’s quite a sight to see.
